Our Beginning
New Heart Ministries was birthed from a divine vision placed in the heart of Bishop Cora Linley—to reach beyond the four walls of the church and bring the transforming love of Christ to those most in need. After years of serving faithfully and helping to build other ministries, Bishop Linley launched a ten-year radio ministry that touched countless lives with the gospel.
In September 2007, the Lord called her to establish New Heart Ministries, under the covering of Bishop Ezetrick Wilson, founder of Focus Hope International Fellowship. She served faithfully as Secretary of the Board of Directors and, following Bishop Wilson’s passing, was elevated to State Bishop of Michigan under Bishop Glenn R. Adderley.
Outreach & Impact
From its earliest days, New Heart Ministries has been a church without walls—taking the gospel to the streets, parks, and neighborhoods of Detroit and beyond. Through outdoor services, tent revivals, and community crusades, lives have been changed, families restored, and souls brought into the Kingdom of God.
These outreach events reflect the heart of the ministry: to meet both spiritual and physical needs. The team has provided free clothing, food, and refreshments to the community, along with joyful activities for children such as bouncy houses and games. Worship, prayer, and preaching flow throughout the day, as hearts are touched by the message of Jesus Christ.
Our mission remains clear: to reach the lost at any cost. We are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus—serving with compassion, leading with love, and proclaiming the message of hope wherever God sends us.
Our Present Focus
Today, New Heart Ministries continues to flourish under the covering of the Great Lakes First Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ, led by Bishop Michael E. Hill, Sr. and Supervisor Dianne M. Bogan. Bishop Linley also serves faithfully as District Missionary for the Zoe District, under Superintendent Andre Cranford.
Through every season, God has proven Himself faithful. He has sustained the vision, supplied every need, and filled our gatherings with His Spirit. As we look ahead, we remain anchored in our declaration: To God be the glory for all He has done—and for all He is yet to do through New Heart Ministries.
